SIOUX CENTER—A 42-year-old rural Sioux Center man was arrested Sunday, Oct. 17, on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault resulting in injury or mental illness.
The arrest of Seth Lee Te Grotenhuis stemmed from altercation with his wife at about 1:20 a.m. at their residence at 3606 Harrison Ave., according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
She told authorities her husband assaulted her in the garage.
She then attempted to get away from him by locking him out of their house, but he kicked open the door and came after her, according to the incident report.
She fought back by hitting him the mouth and fleeing the residence.
