LARCHWOOD—A 34-year-old George man was cited about 4 p.m. Friday, March 24, in Larchwood on a charge of first-offense sex offender registration violation.

SHELDON—A 41-year-old Rock Rapids man was arrested about noon Friday, March 24, on charges of one count of first-degree murder, a Class A felony, and one count of a felon in possession of a firearm, a Class D felony.

SHELDON—A 42-year-old Sheldon woman was arrested about 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, on a charge of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana.

HOSPERS—A 53-year-old Plainfield, IL, man was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, near Hospers on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence, first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

PRIMGHAR—A 65-year-old Hospers man has been sentenced to prison on two counts of third-degree sexual abuse and one count of indecent contact with a child.

SHELDON—A 29-year-old Sheldon man was arrested about 10:50 p.m. Sunday, March 19, on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence and no valid driver’s license.

ORANGE CITY—A resident of Genesis House in Orange City was arrested about 8:20 p.m. Sunday, March 19, on a charge of assault.

MAURICE—A 44-year-old Le Mars woman was arrested about 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 18, near Maurice on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence, first-offense possession of a controlled substance — cannabidiol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
