LARCHWOOD—A 67-year-old Larchwood man was arrested Monday, June 22, on charges of first-offense trespassing; fifth-degree criminal mischief; stopping, standing or parking where prohibited; and no valid driver’s license.
The arrest of Gary Francis Snyders stemmed from setting up camp on the 900 block of Carter Street in Larchwood, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
He pulled onto the property driving a 1998 Dodge van with a trailer in tow and littered the area with televisions and other miscellaneous property.
Snyders has not had a valid driver’s license since 2017.
He also made threatening remarks to the deputy who transported him to the county jail in Rock Rapids, according to court documents.
Snyders also is wanted on a warrant out of Minnesota.
