HULL—A 19-year-old Hull resident was arrested Tuesday, April 27, on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence, first-offense possession of alcohol under age and driving while his license was denied, suspended, canceled or revoked.
The arrest of Ovidio Gustavo Ramirez Chilel stemmed from a report that he was sleeping in a running vehicle he had driven onto a driveway on the 1300 block of Second Street in Hull at about 12:20 a.m. Monday, March 29, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy found him to be mostly unresponsive and in need of medical treatment. An ambulance transported him to Sioux Center Health.
Beer containers were found in the cupholders.
Ramirez Chilel consented to a blood draw, which was sent to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Criminalistics Laboratory in Ankeny. The test result showed his blood-alcohol concentration to be .215.
