HULL—A 38-year-old Hull man was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 6, by Sioux County Sheriff’s Office personnel on a Lyon County warrant for fourth-degree criminal mischief.
The arrest of Nathan Ross Raman stemmed from a July 13 report by a Rock Valley resident of vandalism to a tractor at an abandoned farm he owns about six miles southeast of Rock Rapids.
The Rock Valley man showed a Lyon County Sheriff’s Office deputy photos from a trail camera he had set up pointing at the John Deere tractor.
The photos showed Raman walking up to and around the tractor at about 10:30 p.m. July 11 with what appears to be a trailer hitch in his hand, according to court documents.
Two windows received an estimated $300-$750 damage.
A warrant for Raman’s arrest was issued on Aug. 5.
