HULL—A 22-year-old Hull man was arrested about 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, on charges of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, no motor vehicle insurance and driving a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
The arrest of Elias Delfino Niz-Niz stemmed from a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that occurred in the early morning hours on Locust Street in Hull, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon further investigation it was discovered that Niz-Niz was driving a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis south on Locust when he struck a parked and unattended Volkswagen Jetta, owned by Sou Baccam of Hull.
After the accident Niz-Niz left the area and was not located until later that day.
The two vehicles each received an estimated $2,000 damage.
