HOSPERS—A 48-year-old Hospers woman was arrested about 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest of Julie Lynn Borner stemmed from an investigation of a disturbance, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.

She was found in possession of a small bag of marijuana and two pipes used to ingest the substance at her residence at 202 Fourth Ave. N.
