BOYDEN—A Hospers teenager received minor injuries in a collision about 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Highway 18, three miles west of Boyden.
Fifteen-year-old Brevyn Ray Kramer was driving north a 1994 Buick Park Avenue on Jackson Avenue when he turned left onto Highway 18 and collided with an eastbound 1999 Peterbilt semitruck pulling a grain trailer, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Kramer was transported by the Boyden Ambulance to Orange City Area Health System.
No injuries were reported to 56-year-old Harlow Alan Teunissen of Canton, SD, the driver of the semi.
Kramer was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
His car received an estimated $4,000 damage. The semi received an estimated $12,000 damage.
