SHELDON—Rise Ministries has announced the theme for RiseFest 2020 in Sheldon: Hope Lives!
RiseFest has partnered with the Christian Festival Association and other festivals to share the message of hope.
“We want to encourage our communities to come together and share our stories of hope during this time. Together we will overcome,” said Rob Roozeboom, president and founder of Rise Ministries based in Sheldon.
RiseFest 2020 has been rescheduled from June 19-20 to Friday and Saturday, Sept. 4-5, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We couldn’t be more excited to launch the Hope Lives campaign,” Roozeboom said. “RiseFest is more than music, it’s a mission and that mission is to spread hope.
“We are asking you to join us in this mission. When you purchase a Hope Lives T-shirt, sweatshirt or yard sign you’re helping three different organizations: Upper Des Moines Food Bank, the Sheldon Mobile Food Bank and RiseFest.
“Friends, there’s a day coming when we will reunite, celebrate and have overcome because Hope Live!”
The new date of RiseFest 2020 coincides with Sheldon Celebration Days, the community’s annual Labor Day weekend event.
“We were able to keep most of our lineup with the new date,” Roozeboom said. “We cannot wait to have Big Daddy Weave, Jason Gray, Cade Thompson, Unspoken, Jeremy Camp and Newsboys United be the first artists on our newly constructed permanent stage.”
Tickets remain available for RiseFest 2020 at early bird special rate being offered through June 30: Buy 10 tickets for $32.50 each or individual tickets for $35.
Prime Package tickets still are available for $99 each. They give purchasers access to the Prime Tent, refreshments, food, a Hope Lives T-shirt and other activities.
