LESTER—A 47-year-old Hills, MN, woman was arrested about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, near Lester on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence, failure to maintain control and leaving the scene of an accident.
The arrest of Kimberly Ann Noheart stemmed from a report of a 2009 Honda Odyssey in the west ditch at the intersection of Dogwood Avenue and 110th Street about four miles north of Lester, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
As a deputy was investigating the crash site, another vehicle pulled up with Noheart in the back seat. Asked if she was the driver of the van, she said she was and that she was very drunk, according to the incident report. She said she had consumed four beers.
Noheart failed preliminary sobriety tests.
An empty bottle of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky was found lying near the van.
