HAWARDEN—A 22-year-old Hawarden man was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 26, on a charge of third-degree burglary.
The arrest of Agustin Javier Dixson stemmed from a report at 12:30 p.m. regarding a possible burglary on the 700 block of Avenue D, according to the Hawarden Police Department.
Dixson was leaving the residence of a relative with ammunition and other items that did not belong to him.
The relative had called police three days earlier because Dixson had been showing up to the house without permission and under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to the incident report.
Dixson was warned at that time to stay away from the residence unless he had permission to be there.
Police reported Dixson entered the house Oct. 26 under the influence of prescription medication and took items that did not belong to him.
