HAWARDEN—A 20-year-old Hawarden man was arrested about 3 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, on charges of second-offense possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine, second-offense possession of a controlled substance — Xanax and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest of Noah Michael-Guy Boyles Clough stemmed from a welfare check on another individual at 810 Avenue M, according to the Hawarden Police Department.

During a consent search, a bag of meth and drug paraphernalia were located and Boyles Clough said the contraband belonged to him, according to the incident report.
