ORANGE CITY—A 32-year-old Hawarden man faces additional charges following his arrest on a Sioux County warrant about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, in Orange City.
Hugo Daniel Uribe was arrested on a warrant for a first-offense domestic abuse assault charge at Orange City Area Health System, according to the Orange City Police Department.
He was found with a small clear container containing methamphetamine and a glass meth pipe, according to the incident report.
Uribe then was charged with first-offense possession of a controlled substance — meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The domestic abuse assault charge was from a Sept. 27 incident when Uribe allegedly broke through the door of an apartment in Hawarden, hit his girlfriend in the face, took the keys to her vehicle and drove off.
A warrant was issued Oct. 6.
