GEORGE—A 51-year-old George man was arrested about 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, on charges of going armed with intent and consumption of alcohol in a public place.

The arrest of Miller A Liwis stemmed from deputies responding to a call about an intoxicated person at Casey’s General Store in George, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

A Liwis was found drinking a Budweiser in the bathroom of Casey’s and showed multiple signs of impairment, according to the incident report.

The report also noted he took “three knives from his residence with the intention of stabbing people who were yelling at him.”
