SANBORN—Sanborn Christian Reformed Church is hosting a double feature on Wednesday, Aug. 28, with a film screening and speaker.
At 6:45 p.m., the church will screen “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.”
The movie is about police/courtroom drama based on information about Dr. Kermit Gosnell, a physician who ran an inner-city abortion clinic.
Gosnell was sentenced to life in prison for killing three infants during late-term abortions. He later had 30 years added to his sentence after he was convicted of illegally selling pharmaceutical drugs.
Following the film, former Planned Parenthood employee turned pro-life activist Sue Thayer will speak.
Thayer is the founder and former director of Cornerstone for Life Pregnancy Center in Storm Lake and is currently director of outreach for 40 Days for Life.
Based out of Texas, 40 Days of Life is organization that wants to end abortion by showing local communities the consequences of the act.
The event is free to attend; however, donations to 40 Days for Life will be accepted.
