SIBLEY—A 31-year-old Sibley woman was arrested about 7:50 p.m. Sunday, May 2, on charges of second-offense operating while under the influence and possession of an open container of alcohol as a driver.
The arrest of Kelsey Ann Marie Burns stemmed from a report about an erratic driver on Highway 9, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy located the 2017 Toyota Corolla and observed it make an abrupt U-turn on the highway and initiated a stop at the Olive Avenue intersection about two miles northwest of Sibley.
Burns had bloodshot, watery eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed preliminary sobriety tests.
She said she had been consuming alcohol, according to the incident report.
