SIOUX CENTER—A 23-year-old Hospers man was injured when he crashed the cement truck he was driving about 11:35 a.m. Thursday, July 18, on Goldfinch Avenue about six miles northwest of Sioux Center.
Jeremy Allyn Stoner was backing a 2002 Kenworth cement truck from Goldfinch Avenue onto a driveway when the vehicle entered the west ditch and rolled onto its side, pinning the driver inside, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Stoner was removed from the truck with mechanical extrication by Sioux Center Fire Department and Sioux Center Rescue.
He then was transported by the Sioux Center Ambulance to Sioux Center Health for treatment of minor injuries.
The truck, owned by GCC Alliance Concrete of Orange City, received an estimated $30,000 damage.
