HAWARDEN—No injuries were reported but a collision resulted in an estimated $60,000 damage about 3:35 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the intersection of 420th Street and Coolidge Avenue, six miles northeast of Hawarden.
Thirty-two-year-old Anthony James Riedesel of LeMars pulled out from the stop sign to continue east on 420th when his 2016 Chevrolet Silverado collided with a northbound 2015 Peterbilt semitruck pulling a cattle trailer, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Riedesel was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.
His pickup received an estimated $10,000 damage.
The Peterbilt, driven by 24-year-old Jayden Bullerman of Adrian, MN, and trailer received an estimated $50,000.
