ARCHER—A 19-year Archer resident was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, May 2, on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence and failure to maintain control.
The arrest of Trey Jonathan Iedema stemmed from a report of a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro in the ditch along 370th Street near Olive Avenue west of Archer, according to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy arrived to find the Camaro being towed away by another vehicle and a stop was initiated.
Iedema, identified as the driver, had bloodshot, watery eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed preliminary sobriety tests.
His vehicle received an estimated $2,000 damage.
