HAWARDEN—A 33-year-old rural Sioux Center woman was arrested about 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, near Hawarden on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence and failure to maintain control.
The arrest of Allex Ann Rozeboom stemmed from her losing control of her eastbound 2017 Ford F-150 pickup on 390th Street and entering the north ditch near Chestnut Avenue about eight miles northeast of Hawarden, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Rozeboom reported minor injuries but declined further medical attention.
She had bloodshot, watery eyes and the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed preliminary sobriety tests.
Rozeboom also admitted to drinking alcohol, according to the incident report.
Her pickup received an estimated $10,000 damage.
