ORANGE CITY—No injuries were reported in a collision involving an Iowa Department of Transportation snowplow Sunday evening, Jan. 12, on Highway 10, about eight miles west of Orange City.

Thirty-three-year-old Cody Lee Bauer of Orange City was driving east when he lost control of his 2015 Toyota Prius, which entered the westbound lane and struck a westbound 2019 International snowplow driven by 57-year-old Joel Eugene Moret of Orange City, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.

Bauer was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle, which received an estimated $10,000 damage.

The snowplow received an estimated $5,000 damage.
