SIOUX CENTER—Dordt University’s radio station KDCR will welcome Big Daddy Weave at 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, to B.J. Haan Auditorium in Sioux Center.
The popular contemporary Christian band continues its “The Alive Tour” with its cross-country journey and return to the state of Iowa.
The band features Mike Weaver, lead singer and guitar; Jay Weaver, bass guitar and backup vocals; Jeremy Redmon, guitar and backup vocals; Brian Beihl, drums; and Joe Shirk, saxophone and keyboard.
The night of music and worship will include powerful original works, chart-topping hits and special joint performances with cellist Becca Bradley and violinist Jonathan Chu.
Big Daddy Weave is one of the top artists in Christian music.
It was the second most-played artist at Christian AC-Monitored radio in 2014 and the recipient of multiple industry awards and nominations, including Dove Awards, K-LOVE Fan Awards, Billboard Music Awards and ASCAP Awards.
Big Daddy Weave, which has been around since 1998, achieved five straight No. 1 singles on radio 2012-15.
Among the group’s best-known songs are “Fields of Grace,” “Every Time I Breathe,” “Redeemed,” “The Only Name (Yours Will Be),” “My Story,” “The Lion and the Lamb” ”Jesus I Believe” and “Alive.”
Three types of tickets are available: general admission, early entry and premium.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for general admission. Those with early entry tickets will be able to go in before the general public. Premium tickets include first entry at 5:30 p.m., a laminate pass and a post-concert photo opportunity with Big Daddy Weave.
