William Clark, professor emeritus of wildlife ecology at Iowa State University in Ames, will present information on the “Big Cats of Iowa” at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Prairie Heritage Center near Sutherland.

SUTHERLAND—O’Brien County Conservation will host a guest speaker who will present information on the “Big Cats of Iowa” at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Prairie Heritage Center near Sutherland.

William Clark, professor emeritus of wildlife ecology at Iowa State University in Ames, will begin with a brief overview of the history of cats in North America.

Mountain lions that occasionally show up in Iowa also will be featured along with a discussion of conservation challenges, such as habitat loss, conflicts and hunting.
