ASHTON—Two Ashton teenagers face charges after O’Brien and Osceola County Sheriff’s Office personnel on Saturday, July 27, recovered stolen property taken from burglaries in O’Brien, Osceola and Sioux counties.
Property recovered included a 2009 Honda dirt bike taken from a residence in rural Sioux County, two motorcycles and a dirt bike taken from Glen’s Sport Center in Sheldon, another Honda dirt bike taken from a residence in Sheldon, a 2004 Yamaha Raptor all-terrain vehicle taken from a residence near Ashton and a 2016 Arctic Cat 450 ATV taken from a residence near Sibley.
Also recovered were several ATV helmets, goggles, nine handguns and ammunition taken in a burglary at 59 Power Sports east of Sibley.
Most of the property was recovered in a wooded area west of Ocheyedan.
Charges are pending against a 19-year-old male and a 17-year-old male.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office and Sheldon Police Department assisted in the investigation.
