ALTON—A 24-year-old Alton woman received minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash about 6:55 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, on 430th Street, two miles north of Alton.

Rachel Ann Vander Schaaf, was driving east when she lost control of her 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, which struck a bridge guardrail and rolled, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle came to rest on its top on a bank of the Floyd River.

Vander Schaaf was transported by a private vehicle to Orange City Area Health System.

Her vehicle received an estimated $2,000 damage.
