Larry Cope excited for rural role

Larry Cope will serve as Hawarden's Economic Development Director.

HAWARDEN—The city of Hawarden hired Larry Cope, 49, to fulfill the Economic Development Director position. His first day on the job, today, Monday, June 3.

Cope has held that job title, in one city or another, for the past 23 years and says he believes his experience made him stand out during the interview process.

He and his wife Kimberly have been married for 26 years and are excited to be closer to family that reside in Kansas.
