SIOUX CENTER-Arlis De Boer started her doll clothing business one year ago, and had plans to make it a one-time operation.

But the business was successful, which was a blessing since her husband, Ivan, was diagnosed with brain cancer on June 6.

She recently moved the business from her home to her husband's work shed, since he is no longer able to do work. She is hoping the business will be able to sustain her and her husband's livelihoods.

The Doll House is located one mile west of the Pella Corp. at 3793 Grant Ave. in the large shed north of the De Boers' home. The shop will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, and then 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 5:30-8 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturdays until Dec. 19.
