HAWARDEN—Iowa Information Publishers and Printers, the new owner of the Hawarden Independent/Ireton Examiner and Area-Wide Advertiser, plans to relocate the papers to an office space closer to Hawarden’s downtown business community on Central Avenue.
The new location for the office will be 700 Seventh St. in Hawarden, the eastern most office space of what is commonly known as the depot building. Currently, the space is rented by Kaylee Strong, who has operated Relax and Rejuvenate out of that location for the past three years, but has decided not to renew her lease.
“We have been warmly welcomed by the Hawarden community, and we are eager to get to know not only the business owners here, but in the surrounding coverage area as well,” said Iowa Information president Jeff Wagner. “Moving to this new location gives us better accessibility and visibility, which was important to us and our local staff.”
The newspaper will join tenants H&R Block and The Nail Boutique in the depot complex. Plans are to relocate the offices by Jan. 1.
